Snooker scoring & referee app

Score every match like a professional.

Snook Ref is a snooker scoring and referee companion for club and pub players, amateur referees, practice grinders, and league organizers. Live scoring, connected sessions, and a shot-by-shot record of every frame — instead of pen, paper, or a dusty scoreboard.

Why Snook Ref

The frame moves faster than a notepad.

Manual scoring breaks the night

Club and pub matches still live on scrap paper, a wall board, or whoever “has the book.” Fouls get argued. Free-ball values get guessed. The score disappears when the lights go out.

  • No shot-by-shot record to settle a dispute
  • Reduced-red club formats are easy to mis-score
  • Friends on the other side of the room can’t see the board

A referee companion in your pocket

Snook Ref keeps a live scoreboard on every phone at the table — shared and saved. You referee the match. The app holds the numbers.

  • WPBSA-based scoring engine, including fouls and free ball
  • Host a session so others watch or score along
  • Timelines, summaries, and stats after the handshake

On the table

Built for the way snooker is actually played.

Not a generic sports tracker. A live snooker scoreboard app with the formats, fouls, and session flow club players and referees actually need.

Live scoring

Official rules. Instant scores. No arguments.

Tap the visit — pots, misses, fouls, free ball, and reduced-red club formats like 6-red and 10-red. The board updates instantly so the table can get on with the next shot.

Connected sessions

Host the match. Let the room watch live.

Start a connected session and have others join to watch or score along. One match, every phone in sync — from the referee’s chair to the far end of the club. Only the host needs Snook Ref+.

Match history & timeline

Every shot, saved.

Open a full shot-by-shot timeline and match summary after the frame. Settle the “what was the score after the 42?” debate with a record, not a memory.

Personal performance stats and career tracking, broken down per match and over time. Basic stats ship with core scoring; Snook Ref+ unlocks trends, shot analysis, and head-to-head history.

Practice mode

Build the session. Then put the work in.

Use the practice builder for structured drills, or jump into basic practice when you just want time on the table. A snooker practice app that sits next to the same rules engine you use on match night.

How it works

From first red to the handshake.

  1. Start a match

Pick the players, choose the format, and get to the table. Full 15-red or club 6/10-red — same referee companion.

  2. Score live

Tap pots, misses, and fouls as the frame unfolds. The board stays honest — no mental arithmetic mid-break.

  3. Share the session

Host a connected match so others join and watch or score along. One source of truth for the room.

  4. Review after

Open the timeline, match summary, and stats when you sit down — the night is saved, not scribbled.

Why we built this

A referee companion, not a generic scorer.

Club and pub matches still live on scrap paper, a wall board, or whoever “has the book.” Snook Ref exists so the score is live, shared, and saved — with the same rule details you’d expect from the chair: free ball, fouls, and reduced-red club formats, not a generic point counter.

We will not invent testimonials, download counts, or star ratings. When real reviews land on the App Store and Google Play, they will live here.

FAQ

Before you get to the table.

When can I download Snook Ref?

Snook Ref is coming soon on the App Store and Google Play. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you when downloads are live. Core scoring will be free; Snook Ref+ stays optional.

Is Snook Ref free?

Yes. Snook Ref core scoring is free to use. Snook Ref+ is optional premium at $2.99/month or $24.99/year (save 30% vs monthly, ≈ $2.08/month billed annually), with a 7-day free trial.

Does it work offline?

Scoring a frame runs on your device. Hosting or joining a connected match session needs a network connection so every phone stays in sync.

Yes. Alongside a full 15-red frame, Snook Ref supports reduced-red club formats such as 6-red and 10-red.

Is it accurate to official snooker rules?

The scoring engine follows the WPBSA Official Rules of Snooker, including free ball, respotting, and foul values — built as a snooker referee app, not a generic point counter.

Can two devices sync a match?

Yes. Host a connected session and others can join to watch or score live. Only the host needs Snook Ref+; joiners can follow along without hosting.

What’s the cancellation and refund policy?

Snook Ref+ includes a 7-day free trial. Cancel anytime from your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings. No charge today. Refunds, if any, follow the store’s standard subscription policy.
